► Cost of your tires - Things you should ask

Why did not Mr. Johnson strongly object and prevent Obama from placing a tire tariff against China, when the only reason it was being placed was to protect union pensions?

Look at his district on a map, it is made up of poor people living within many apartment complexes, who are the most effected by increased tire costs. The low cost tires that use to cost <$30 are now about $50, without the mounting and balancing.

Driving up and down Memorial Drive, would it not occur to someone in touch with reality, that businesses such as World of Wheels, Big Ten Tire, etc. might suffer a loss of business when the lower cost tires increase in price? That maybe other businesses on that side of the street, such as Dairy Queen (excellent business I like - has a #100 on its health report) might suffer a slow down too?

I have (4) Maxxis Bighorn tires on my truck and (2) Maxxis tires on my car, why? Because it is a GEORGIA BUSINESS. A poor slob like me buys tires because they are made by a Georgia business ( AND because they are excellent tires) and Mr. Johnson does nothing to protect that business.

Maxxis Tires has tires made in China and those are imported to sell here. I read the tire tariff signed by Obama, they are taxed.

So, the next tire you are looking at your tires with the steel belts and steel threads showing through the bald spots and wondering how you can afford a set of four tires when you can no longer afford them, because they are over $150 for a cheap set of P235/75r15s without mounting, remember Mr. Johnson.

He makes $178,000+ a year "working" in Congress, maybe you can ask him to buy you a set of tires since he was not part of a real solution and did nothing to prevent it from passing.

I mean, I read the 400+ page Congress report and the only Johnson mentioned was not him, "our" Mr. Johnson was no where to be found
